This Privacy Policy describes how Tropical Ghar (“we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our website, marketplace, subscriptions, messaging, custom tank requests, and related services.
1. Information we collect
Account & profile
Name, username, email, phone (if provided), password (hashed), country/location fields, profile details, and preferences.
Transactions & payments
Order history, subscription status, and billing-related identifiers. Payment card data is typically processed by our payment partners; we do not store full card numbers on our servers where those partners handle checkout.
Marketplace
If you list items or services, we collect listing content (titles, descriptions, images, prices, categories), seller identifiers, and activity related to listings. If you browse or contact sellers, we may log interactions needed to operate the Marketplace.
Messages
Content of messages sent through our in-app messaging (including Marketplace messages). Message bodies are encrypted at rest on our servers using AES-256-GCM before storage. This is encryption at rest—not end-to-end encryption—so our systems can decrypt messages to deliver them to recipients and to enforce safety and legal obligations.
Custom tank orders
Information you submit on custom tank forms (specifications, contact details, notes, and any files or descriptions you provide).
Technical & usage data
IP address, device/browser type, cookies, session data, pages viewed, and similar analytics to secure and improve the service.
2. How we use information
- Provide, operate, and improve the site, Marketplace, subscriptions, and messaging;
- Process orders, payments, and subscription renewals;
- Communicate with you about your account, orders, and (where permitted) marketing;
- Detect fraud, abuse, and illegal activity; enforce our Terms; and protect users;
- Comply with legal process and cooperate with authorities when required or permitted by law;
- Fulfil custom tank requests and related customer service.
3. Marketplace & third parties
When you interact with other users on the Marketplace, those users may receive information you choose to share (e.g. messages, public profile elements). We are not responsible for how other users use your information; use discretion. Sellers and buyers should agree on payment and delivery outside our liability—see our Terms & Conditions.
4. Legal bases & retention
We process data as necessary to perform our contract with you, comply with law, and pursue legitimate interests (security, analytics, product improvement), balanced against your rights. We retain data as long as needed for these purposes or as required by law (e.g. tax, dispute resolution). Account or content may be deleted earlier if you close your account or we terminate for breach, subject to legal holds.
5. Sharing of information
We may share information with:
- Service providers (hosting, payments, email, analytics) under confidentiality obligations;
- Law enforcement or regulators when required by law, court order, or to protect rights and safety;
- Other users as needed for Marketplace and messaging features you use.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties for their independent marketing in the traditional sense of “selling personal data.”

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect data. In-app message content is encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM) on our systems. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; you use the service at your own risk beyond our reasonable safeguards.
7. Cookies & similar technologies
We use cookies and similar tools for sessions, security, preferences, and analytics. You may control cookies through your browser; disabling some cookies may limit functionality.
8. Your choices & rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your data, or to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights. We may verify your identity before responding.
9. Children
Our services are not directed to children under the age required for consent in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law.
10. International transfers
If you access the service from outside the country where our servers or processors are located, your data may be transferred and processed there, subject to appropriate safeguards where required.
11. Custom tank & financial data
Custom tank submissions are used to quote and fulfil your request. Custom tank orders are not refundable as stated in our Terms & Conditions; please ensure all details are correct before confirming any order.
